Key #1 Recap: Our vision must shift to see from a Heavenly perspective rather than an earthly perspective. It is the only way we can navigate this season.

As King Nebuchadnezzar won the war, he gathered the Jewish people and took many captives back to Babylon. I am sure that this trip was not part of their plans for Daniel and the other prisoners. After all, they are the chosen people of the Lord. However, at this moment, God had allowed them to go into captivity. I would not have been happy about my forced relocation.
In the best of situations, it can be difficult not to allow the culture around us to influence us. As we get to know Daniel, we discover:
He had great favor in Babylon and found himself selected for training in all the ways and culture of Babylon.
He knew he was in a foreign land, full of strange customs and false religions. In the midst of this, he determined that he would not defile himself (see Daniel 1:8)
Key #2: We can only impact our culture if we keep our focus and not allow ourselves to become defiled with what is happening around us.
As with Daniel, we may find ourselves in a corrupt situation; however, that situation does not have to corrupt us. When our focus is on God and his standards, a guard goes around our hearts. This guard keeps our hearts from being defined and consumed by darkness. In the midst of the shaking, I think Daniel discovered that God had sent him on a mission to bring light to the darkness. Could this same be true of your current situation?
2 Corinthians 10:5 states, "We can demolish every deceptive fantasy that opposes God and breakthrough every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of God. We capture, like prisoners of war, every thought and insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One." <1>
It is time to open up your hands and receive all that God has for you. Although discouragement, frustration, and fear are knocking at the door, do not let them in. You are in control of what comes into your mind. Remind yourself that God is still in control. And you are just being repositioned for a more significant impact. As you navigate through the transition, do not depend on feelings but rely on the faithfulness of God; declare it to yourself and into the spirit realm.
I decree and declare that God is still in control and that my focus will be on Him and Him alone.
You have two of the three keys. Check back next week for the third and final key.
